Global coalition set to launch One for All campaign for sustainable development
Summary
#ONEFORALL campaign will provide a platform for each global citizen to support one of the 17 SDGs.
PVBLIC Foundation, a non-profit media organisation, and a coalition of partners have announced the forthcoming launch of the One for All (or #ONEFORALL) campaign at the United Nations on January 31st. The campaign is designed to rally global citizens, communities and organisations to commit to achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the 169 related targets by 2030, according to a statement released by PVBLIC Foundation on Tuesday.
In September 2015, 193 countries adopted a set of goals to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all as part of a new sustainable development agenda. Each goal has specific targets to be achieved over the next 15 years. According to PVBLIC Foundation, #ONEFORALL is a 15-year activation campaign that aims to demonstrate that apart from global leaders, individuals can also participate in providing the solutions to global development challenges.
#ONEFORALL campaign will provide a platform for each global citizen to support one of the 17 SDGs. The coalition that will be launching the campaign comprises of Mekanism, a San Francisco-based creative agency; Sharemeister, a Texas-based innovative fundraising platform; and Creative Science Labs, a Washington DC-based firm providing digital solutions for mission-driven organizations.
Other members of the coalition are Exit 10, an advertising and marketing agency; AIESEC, an international NFPO that provides global internship for young people; the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA); and PVBLIC Foundation, which is focused on harnessing the power of media to drive social change.
