Nigeria Development and Finance Forum (NDFF) 2018 is a colloquium organised to discuss the best policy options for priority, Nigeria-owned sustainable development agenda. Promising to be highly-engaging and impactful, NDFF 2018 is being organised to mark the 10th anniversary of Financial Nigeria magazine -- Africa's foremost development and finance journal.

Themed “Nigeria’s Sustainable Development Agenda,” the event will hold on Tuesday, September 11th, 2018, at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre (Main Conference Hall), Abuja.

Following the speeches, a high-level panel will discuss the dimensions of governance, financing and foreign relations in fostering a strong domestic agenda for Nigeria’s sustainable development. The high level panelists include:

Guests at this special colloquium will include senior members of the diplomatic corps; government officials and policymakers; traditional leaders; development experts; social sector actors; leaders in business, finance and investment; and the media. In total, over 400 guests are expected to attend.

The theme of the colloquium has been chosen to provoke further discussions on the recent debate on whether Nigeria’s current development priorities are apropos. Further to this is whether Nigeria, while not objecting to any of the UN 17 Sustainable Development goals, should identify a few of the goals for frontline public policy.

The event will be broadcast live on Channels Television/AIT, and streamed live on Facebook, with reporting by the major media establishments in Nigeria.

Nigeria Development and Finance Forum is the conference arm of Financial Nigeria International Limited, publisher of Financial Nigeria magazine.

NDFF will be hosted in Nigeria for the first time in 2018 to mark the 10th anniversary of Financial Nigeria magazine. The previous editions of NDFF were hosted in London, Washington DC and New York to discuss Nigeria’s policy and investment climate and mobilise foreign investment into the country.
