The Executive Programme in Global Impact Leadership in the Financial Industry (GILFI) has become a landmark event for Board Members, Executive Management Members, and C-Suite Executives from around the world. The first two editions of the groundbreaking programme were held in April and November 2025.

The third edition of the programme,

GILFI is a programme of the European Organisation for Sustainable Development (EOSD). Financial Nigeria International Limited is the Country Representative of the EOSD in Nigeria.

With the theme “Blueprint for Future-Ready Banking and Finance”, GILF 3 will focus on strategic dialogue on capital market development and institutional transformation. This is in recognition that capital markets, including Nigeria’s, are being asked to carry a growing share of the responsibility for economic transformation – financing industrialisation, infrastructure, innovation, and private-sector growth, while also preserving market integrity, stability, and investor confidence.

At the same time, markets are being reshaped by technology, new asset classes, changing risk dynamics, and rising expectations for transparency and accountability.

GILFI 3 is designed as a strategic forum in which senior regulatory and institutional leaders step away from operational demands to reflect on how institutional architecture, digital infrastructure, and market design are evolving, and what this implies for supervision, regulatory effectiveness, and capital market development.

The programme is structured around the following strategic questions:

• how capital can be mobilised at scale into productive sectors while preserving market integrity and investor protection;
• how digital, data, and AI are changing issuance, trading, supervision, and enforcement;
• how regulatory frameworks can remain effective in increasingly complex and interconnected systems; and
• how leaders make decisions under conditions of uncertainty, disruption, and systemic risk.
