- Call For Nomination For TNJ Africa's "40 Under Forty" Awards

New York, NY - The Network Journal (TNJ), a New York-based publication for Black professionals and business owners, issued its open call for nominations for the inaugural Africa edition of its signature "40 Under Forty Achievement Awards." The selected individuals will be honored at a "TNJ Africa 40 Under Forty Achievement Awards" gala on November 6, 2010, at La Palm Beach Hotel in Accra, Ghana, and will be profiled in TNJ's November 2010 issue. This issue will be distributed across Africa and the United States.
The "TNJ Africa 40 Under Forty Achievement Awards" program will draw from the entrepreneurial dynamism of Africa's business community to recognize and honor the next generation of business and professional leaders who are currently under the age of 40. Honorees will be chosen for their proven performance in their industry, their contribution to the community, their success in their business and professional careers, and their commitment to the development of Africa.
The deadline for nominations is Friday, July 30, 2010. Eligible candidates may be nominated by members of the business community or the general public, and must meet the following criteria: 39 years or younger on December 31, 2010; reside and spend the majority of his or her work time in Africa; must be a business owner, professional, or senior executive with significant business decision-making authority; must have a proven track record of excellence; exude professionalism; and must be committed to providing leadership to his or her discipline and community. The selected candidates must participate in person at the Awards ceremony, to be held at La Palm Beach Hotel, Accra, Ghana, on November 6, 2010.
