Your write up (Perspectives on Feminisation of Corruption in Nigeria) is a master piece. Although, corruption appears gender neutral, you will be surprised that where you found a woman in corruption, the scale will be more than that of a man. If you pay a visit to most of the government ministries today you are likely to find women in the larger number. So if one relates that to the level of corruption in Nigeria, then the result is better imagine! You can visit some of the Tax offices in Nigeria.

The fact is that corruption though very prevalent in Nigeria is very poorly studied. Most of the things we know(or think we know!) about corruption in Nigeria and its characteristics is nothing short of mere guess work and opinion. Hard evidence or reliable data is difficult to come by and since it is very likely that only a tiny lopsided fraction is prosecuted, it follows that even police and judicial records are not representative. For e.g. could the fact that most indicted government officials are women mean that corrupt women are more likely to be prosecuted than their male peers and NOT that the former are more in number or proportion? It naturally follows that it is almost impossible to establish the gender-neutrality or otherwise of this malady. Having said this, I may as well give my own humble opinion which should only be treated as an OPINION! I believe that female public office holders are probably JUST AS CORRUPT as their male counterparts. Please don't ask me "why?" because my only reason would be that there is apparently no reason to believe otherwise. Or is there?
