REMOVAL OF THE RESTRICTION PLACED ON IMPORTATION OF TEXTILES AND ARTICLES THEREOF THROUGH DESIGNATED PORTS TO INCLUDE ALL ENTRY POINTS

TO: ALL AUTHORISED DEALERS,
SERVICE PROVIDERS FOR DESTINATION INSPECTIONAND GENERAL PUBLIC


Further to the circular reference TED/FEM/GEN/FPC/01/009 dated
November 30, 2006 wherein importation of Textiles and Articles thereof was restricted to only five (5) designated Ports, Authorised Dealers, Service Providers for Destination Inspection and the General Public are hereby
informed as follows:

1. Government has removed the restriction forthwith and approved the importation of Textile Products and Articles thereof through all Ports of Entry.

2. For the avoidance of doubt, importation of all textiles and Articles thereof, except those that are still under prohibition is allowed through all approved routes for general trade.


Authorised Dealers are advised to bring the provisions of this circular to the attention of their customers for compliance.
