Nigeria, in terms of her population, mineral and other natural endowments, is a huge potential. No doubt. But collectively, Nigerians continue to under-achieve and so there is a question mark on Nigeria's ability to be trully great. Largely, Nigeria has been seized by mediocres which take the spark off the national psyche, even with the presence of some brilliant and patriotic individuals. The Super Eagles squad and their performances during the Nations Cup showed a people unconcerned about their national stature.

greatness transcends the presence of potential neither is it a perception, but the actual harnessing of that potential, resulting in continuos progress,it's not a one time thing.but can be tracked, monitored and projected.we have the God given potential, we lack man driven discipline.we will get there......

Nigeria is definitely a great country. Our major problem is that we have too many talkers rather than doers. We need to seize our destiny in our own hands starting now and that means you and I. Ask yourself what have you contributed to making Nigeria a better place to live in.

The potential that abound in Nigeria should not in anyway be compared to the output of a rather negligible number of people who by ommission or commission have failed in their designated assignment.Asides this, Ghana 2008 was a 'game';someone had to miss it for the winner to emerge.Nigeria is a blessed land in human ,mineral ,agricultural resources, the influx of foreign investors is a notable index.By no means should our resources be undermined we just pray that the nation get what she needs to maximise the inherent potentials:sound, selfless and most especially Godly leadership.
